Yes, this one. I guess if you want to install a stable and permanent version of this add-on (probably the 1.1 version) you will have to be patient. It is also strongly recommended not to install beta, alpha or RC versions on a site in production...

I would say that is even more important for an SEO addon. If it damages your results in Google, they will stay damaged for a time after disabling thew addon.

But then, unless it's live how can you properly test an SEO addon?

That's the problem!

But currently this add-on is not there yet, it is for the moment to solve the bugs which prevent it from working without causing server errors or malfunction in the ACP. As for knowing if it will have a real SEO utility, I don't know if any user can already affirm it even if playing with the meta-titles and meta-description of XenForo content is probably something very useful in terms of SEO.

I think it is useful but I doubt it helps indexing or page result position, but can help whether people click through once they see the link.

I know I can noindex specific threads with this, but is it possible to noindex specific page nodes?

Thanks

Specific issue related to this addon and Bobs addon, Showcase

I did have an attachment uploaded to a showcase item - I decided I wanted to change it, so I deleted the attachment then attempted to upload a new one. I was presented with this error. Thinking it may be temporary, I've saved the showcase item with no attachment, and then edited again in order to attempt uploading an attachment. Every time, I now have the above error.

It's my thinking that nl_seo_alt_txt has something to do with the Nulumia SEO addon which I used to use, but now do not. I did upgrade the Nulumia addon some weeks ago to the most recent version, now taken over by Ozzy - but the addon is disabled right now. I have no other SEO addons installed/active so I'm thinking it must be something to do with the former.

What do I do? worried @Ozzy47

No add-on will guarantee you a better position in Google, especially on a forum where the content can be very short. Just get good links and improve your forum optimization. It's enough.

Exactly. I think that goes without saying but this addon doesn't pretend otherwise. You do need to know what you are doing obviously rather than installing the addon and sitting back watching you site zoom up Google as if by magic.

I do know a bit about SEO , and I find addons that allow you to do things you want to do (that stock xenforo doesn't) are a real boon. So in that regard this one is very good. Not yet magic, but it goes along way to helping people with a modicum of SEO knowledge to get better results.
