[OzzModz] SEO & Index Tools [Deleted]

I'm a bit in the same case and by dint of waiting I wonder if I'm not going to lose everything! :D

Is there a reason that columns you are adding to other add-ons tables are not prefixed? Add-ons like AMS/Showcase/UBS etc that are in constant states of development and get a lot of feature updates means you can never know what the developer has planned, or what columns they will add.

I love the intent regarding the add-on, but the practices of how you are integrating it into other add-ons worries me.

@Nulumia Possibly a silly question. How many RCs do you expect to be? I'm hedging my bets on when to purchase at the Beta price. I know that makes me sound cheap but money is tight right now, but I don't want to miss out on the good deal. Thank you for the awesome work thus far. I've been watching from the sidelines :D

Many thanks
:D

I've had to disable the add-on, just realised that since beta 4 a bug stops proper/full creation of sitemaps, with no error log entry created

I'm seeing sitemap completion on my site since RC6 so maybe something specific to your site that's botching the job. Good reminder for everyone to check though.

New build is almost ready completely reworked to merge with the latest AMS 2.2.17.

This version of AMS replicates how forums use indexing, which was introduced in Xenforo 2.2. SEO & Index Tools will now seamlessly extend the existing method to work with its own features, such as the inheritance system and global criteria.

As I employed with forums, the extra features will apply back on a best-match basis on uninstall, so you'll never lose data in AMS after using this addon.

New patch should be available today (Thursday).

Price will not be increasing very soon so there's no rush. It definitely won't do so before it's ported perfectly for all of Bob's addons. Right now things are still being finished for AMS, and AMS 2.2.17 introduced a huge change I had to take care of.

I've also not encountered this but after slamming test instances with heavy addons/customizations, I believe the new patch should help prevent any issue with further safeguards.

Nulumia updated SEO & Index Tools with a new update entry:

There's now only a few instances left which aren't prefixed, namely 'allow_index' on individual content such as products or resources. These will also be prefixed in next update. As indexing features are now going into other addons from Bob, this addon will (starting with the latest patch) barely touch those addons but rather work with them by integrating the Google Live Preview as a visual helper - not much edits under the hood anymore.

I don't have any data from other reports on this, but the latest patch has heavily improved all indexing systems which affect sitemap generation.

I'm watching this thread and find your ADD on interesting, will buy as soon as I see people report back it is more stable and it works.

Can you let me know if your script can take of issues like the below I get from ahref ?

Issue details
Pages linking to internal page or pages of your website via a "nofollow" link.
Search engine crawlers will not follow (crawl) the "nofollow" links on your website and PageRank won't be passed.
there are 10000 pages affected, not sure if this is good for SEO

If anyone is interested in a technical note on AMS and other XenAddon products going forward:

AMS has implemented a native indexing system mirroring what was added for forums in Xenforo 2.2.x. As this "mostly" overlaps the custom features which were in SEO Tools, it will now simply enhance the native indexing with the inheritance system, exactly as I did when XF 2.2.x brought their new changes.

This also means there's no further point for holding SEO data (meta title, etc) for AMS in separate tables. If you've added meta data for AMS using this addon, it will now be migrated directly into AMS after upgrading to 2.2.17, and this addon's data will finally be dropped.

Migration of criteria has been tested, however, you should still review your indexing criteria after upgrade (both per-category if you've set any, and the global article index criteria).

If you use AMS, please make sure to upgrade your AMS to 2.2.17 immediately after upgrading SEO & Index Tools 1.0.5 RC 8. Running the latest patch with AMS 2.2.16 or below can show errors.

I've taken absolute great pains to make the migration as seamless as possible. A ton of stuff is done automatically. You simply need to upgrade both shortly together.

Thanks for watching the addon and should be at a very stable place soon! Major things like global indexing criteria are nearly locked in, and just passed a major hurdle porting to latest versions of XenAddons.

As for this error, you can absolutely ignore this. I wish there was a way to hide this in aHrefs to be honest, as adding nofollow to links is a very common and essential method in content control. I don't know why they flag it so much.

But would they be no follow on internal links?
Depends on your site structure, but yes this is definitely common. Everyone knows "nofollow" prevents your rank from leeking to other websites (external), but internal is also important.

Let's say you have a lot of custom sections built out at your site (as we're all talking Xenforo here, let's say things outside of normal forum or discussion pages). You don't want search engines snooping around these areas, rather you want them just crawling your threads.

It would be very practical to add nofollow to these links. Some users actually put nofollow on all links going to member profiles as they don't want them getting into search results (though this addon does a way better job!).

Plus, Xenforo itself has many internal nofollow links. This is specifically due to how XF runs many forms and menus in popup panels. Believe it or not, these are all actually "pages", with their own URLs, but you don't see them with Javascript enabled and popups in use. Try right-clicking on a link which cause a popup and hit "Open in new tab" and you'll see :)

These are basically junk pages and you also don't want search engines going there.

Man I buy it for even 250$ if it can get me rid of errors like the below, do you think it can ?

This addon won't affect that, though my XFOptimize addon most likely can :) Although it still does its job, feature progress on it had to slow down recently while tackling the massive updates required here on SEO & Index Tools.

I bought that ADD on already, so far I can't find how to get rid of this! Shall I open a support ticket and you would be able to help me?
