XF 2.1 Overwrite files?

What is the implication of checking or not checking "Overwrite files?" in Xenforo add-on upgrades? Thanks.

Good question. Also I have noticed that on some forums the "Overwrite files" checkbox is not shown. Under what conditions is it shown and not shown?

If it is checked when you are upgrading an add-on, then all of the add-on's files will be replaced. By default, only changed files are copied.

It was a recent addition so older versions of 2.1 and 2.0 won't have that option.

Unless you have a reason, just leave it unchecked.
