XF 2.2 Outdated templates message says master style edited when it wasn't

I get a message that some templates are outdated In spite of no recent updates.

Can someone please explain how I would get this message about a parent edited which I have not edited:



The style in question is a parent style, so its parent can only be the master style. But I would never edit the master ( the date referred to as Sept 14 was the update to xf 2.2.7 and a few addons) and I have not enabled development myslef for months or even years.

Admin logs show nothing was edited at 7:26 yesterday. It could not have been because I have not used development enabled for months.

Template merge during upgrade.

Well, that would explain Sept 14, but not yesterday at 7.26 when nothing was upgraded (I was having my tea) - even if there had been an upgrade I forgot about it would be in admin logs?
