XF 1.4 Opening links in new windows logs out user

I made an image with the text "Upgrade to Premium Member" and put it on my forum. The image links to the Upgrades Page.

Example:
Code:
http://myforum.com/index.php?account/upgrades

I made it so the image opens in new window.

The problem is when a registered member clicks on the image. It opens in a new window but he gets logged out.

What am i doing wrong?

Maybe it has something to do with the way i put the link?
