Has this been tested on larger forums for load concern?
tested on forums with 20.000 threads, loaded without noticeable delay.

for any bigger size i have no idea, as i dont have a forum available which has more than 20.000 posts :/

What are considered to be old results? How many days is an old thread?
How the search works? is it by relevance? if yes, would the first 20 results from your add-on are equal to the first 20 results in the regular search?
Does it work with ElasticSearch?

where can I see this in action ? Seems interesting
at the screenshots, the input box, i wanted to make it integrate good into the forum.
if i make a big shiny and blinking box, it may annoy people :D

Does it work with ElasticSearch?
For example you have 10 threads, id 1,2,3,4...9,10
1 is an old thread, 10 is the newest one
it displays 1,2,3...10 if you check display old results first.
if you uncheck it, it displays 10,9,8,...,2,1

the search checks the thread titles, i experienced in test phrases that its simple and effective, people get immediatly what they want :)

works with elasticsearch too.

Good to have addon, but what about the performance?
Server Resources used?
Query added on each page?

Server Resources used?
Query added on each page?
no additional queries per page.
it only queries, when someone searches and then it only uses a single query on keyup to search.

shouldnt have noticeable effects
