XF 2.3 Oops! We ran into some problems.... The same but different

Hey gang. I've seen references to this error in the forum but the seem different to the specific one that my user is getting... and none seem to explain the issue or solution.... at least not in a way that I can comprehend.

The user reported as follows:

"I’ve been getting this error periodically when attempting to login. All I have to do is clear my history and the error disappears. Not sure if it’s solely on my end. I typically only use an iPad."

The error displayed to him:




I don't even know where to start or what to tell him. Could it be an expired security token? Is this even something I can control?

I'm stumped

closing the browser and restarting the browser solves it every time.

I appreciate the reply. So we have no idea what causes this, despite it being a problem for years? Something triggers an error with no way to determine the cause? So weird

I don't follow... I posted the screen shot he provided off the top.

That message means a security token was invalid or missing but it doesn’t explain why it failed. The browser console can show more details (like whether the session expired, a cookie was blocked or a request was rejected)
