When you click to add an image, and the link icon to link an image, the prompt in the field is http:// not https://.
However it could just say URL, like it does when you click the link icon (to add a link, not image).
Anyway it seems outdated being http:// and we can't change it in Phrases.
Thanks

This is just a design choice by the developer of the rich text editor. Indeed it may be designed as such to distinguish that when adding a link it (roughly) could be any protocol URL (including ftp://) whereas images only support http protocol links. Indeed because https is an extension of the http protocol, having the placeholder text as http:// is not unreasonable. https:// would be more incorrect as that may imply http:// isn't supported, when it is.

The http:// protocol still exists and likely will indefinitely so there's no particular reason to change any mention of http to https. It isn't outdated, but https:// is simply better and the current best practice.

In other words, we won't be requesting changes to this.

Certainly minor but I only mentioned it because a member asked if he could use a secure link and was having issues putting the "s" in with the cursor. I told him yes, just paste it or start typing. 🤷‍♂️ That's when I figured, URL is better for my site, but it was hardcoded. However as mentioned, minor. Thanks

If you copy the full https: link into the text box, the http: dropdown at the left should change to https: - does it not do this for you?

Ignore. Confusing XF with vB again. I'll be glad when the last vB forums are converted to XF. :)

Yes I can paste a secure link in, and the http:// language moves above it and stays http://. I suppose this confused my user.
