Also you've found me out - I'm totally obsessed with selecting words and torturing them to fit a preconceived hypothesis. My academic work is famous for it. In fact it's so bad I wonder how I ever survived PhD research. I guess someone felt sorry for me and just turned a blind eye.

Ugg boots were an Australian invention (although New Zealand disputes this and claims they invented them, but they do that with every Aussie invention ) the term ugg is a generic term for sheepskin boots with the fleece on the inside, we've been wearing them for years downunder, they are warm and comfy in winter, but hardly high fashion it has to be said, they are ugly, hence the name.

The brand Ugg Boots is an American company who have copyrighted a generic term, which is pretty unfair, much like copyrighting the word "sandals" or "pumps" crazy stuff, they have also been pretty aggressive in protecting their so called "copyright" lol. They are the IB of the footwear world it would appear.

The recent round of spam here about them would indicate that the whole world now finds uggs pretty irresistible... apparently uggs are the new Viagra - and heck, you're only human, so of course you do!

I have about 6 pairs though actually they are cheap copies - the soles are softer and more flexible.
My favourites are the ones with embroidered flowers and bling jewels!
Then there's grey, blue, green, tan, chocolate brown, and pale beige ones.
With long skirts, or leggings or jeans they look perfectly fine. I don't think they are ugly at all. But then I like feet that look like feet and I like feet to be comfortable.

For priestess work especially they are perfect, obviously.
