As designed No Lightbox page/display when clicking/selecting the video link

When I select a video embed in a thread/post, It takes me to the media gallery and does not display Lightbox. Looks more like the 2.1 version of Media Galley








But when I click on the video in Media Gallery, I get Lightbox view

When you say "video embed in a thread/post" I assume you mean an embedded media item, e.g. like this?

We haven't intended to make these open up in the lightbox so it's mostly expected at this point and you may wish to create a suggestion thread instead.

The lightbox isn't supposed to be some sort of replacement for how things were in XF 2.1. It is not the "default" view exactly anywhere else apart from when browsing the media indexes. The "full" media view very much still exists and is still accessible by opening media in a new tab, opening it with the "New window" icon in the lightbox and various other places.
