XF 1.5 New Domain On Same Server

I am setting up a new domain on the same server, I installed 1.5 went to Library/config.php and changed the settings to those of the old database

Nothing seems to have happened.

Do I need to do anything else? (I'll sort out the template changes later)

I've left the host as "Localhost" does this need to be changed?

I do have a back up of the existing database but it's quite large so I'd like to just point the new domain to the database on the old domain.

This is unrelated to your issue but you can't have two separate installations pointing to the same database.
They will both be attempting to write to it.

Ok thanks, I'll do an import to phpmyadmin.. then transfer the files over..

I assume it will be ok to close the old Forum and do another import in a weeks time when we are finished testing.. i.e overwrite the database

Yes, you can restore from a new backup.

You will also need to copy any avatar and attachment files over.
