XF 2.2 New Discussion forum in Search Console fails

There is a new "Discussion forum" thing in Google Search Console.

Since this was introduced, it marks as "invalid" URLs because:

1- Missing field "text"

It also marks as need improvement for:

1- "Comment" object must be nested inside a "CreativeWork" object
2- Missing field "url"
3- Missing field "url" (in "author")

Traffic will really go down with thousands of URLs affected.

Is there a fix for this?

This may be being addressed in the upcoming 2.2.14/2.3 releases. There is a lengthy suggestion (closed) where a Google employed individual made some suggestions.

Hi, my name is Ryan Levering and I currently handle structured data ingestion at Google (this guy). I've been doing some fairly spontaneous spot checks (not based on any specific problem) of some of the major forum software markups on the web just to see whether the markup is being generated in an ideal way for our systems to ingest. You can stick a URL in http://validator.schema.org to get an idea of what your markup for a given URL looks like. I have a couple of high-level suggestions to take or leave as you see fit:

• Replies: 116
• Forum: Closed suggestions

from what i read in another thread on this, missing text is usually for posts that have no actual text like a post with a twitter embed or something similar.

missing url for author is usually for posts that have their author deleted from the system so there is no url for the author because it does not exist.

most of these errors are just information in nature as in google telling you that it is not expected content. but forums are complicated websites and not all the content would fulfill all the requirements of google's markup detection for discussion forums.
