RM 1.1 Need to replace a file between versions

I uploaded the wrong file in my string of revisions and need to replace it without messing up the string. How do I do this? For example, Version 7 is the correct file. Version 6 has the wrong file attached to it and I need to replace it with the correct one.

Delete the update and create it again.

That's what I did. Then I had to reupload all of the versions that followed it. Got it done, but there is an easy fix for this in a future update?

New updates are assumed to supersede previous ones, so there isn't a way around the way you did it.
