XF 1.2 Need to created a new tab that leads to external links

I can create a new tab easy enough but am having difficulty creating the sub-tabs. Does anybody have the code for that? I tried duplicating other tab groups but it was a disaster. Below is what I am looking for.

NAME OF TAB
Sub-tab 1 = External Link
Sub-tab 2 = External Link
Sub-tab 3 = External Link
etc.

Along the top with home/forum/members/

Tabs with external secondary links can be managed as link-forums with this addon:

Or you can edit the template directly:

Admin CP -> Appearance -> Templates -> navigation
