XF 1.5 Need some permissions help

I have a node named Recycle Bin. In this node, all posts are locked. In node permissions, I have it set to allow only the Administrative group to Post replies BUT as a root admin/super administrator with all moderator permissions, I cannot make any replies in this node. I know for an absolute fact that a week ago I was able to post replies in locked threads and I still can in locked threads on other nodes. It's only this Recycle bin and it's child node called Quarantined that I now am unable to post replies in. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Edit: I unlocked the thread and now it says I have insufficient privileges to reply - This is quite exasperating.

Use Analyze permissions on the node for your user to see why you can't reply.

When I analyze permissions for my account, I have yes all the way down the list in every category except require two step verification. Is analyze permissions for a node done differently?

Yes, you need to do it at the node level.

Also, check that you haven't disabled this in the node settings - 'Allow new messages to be posted in this forum'.
