XF 1.2 Navigation "adding a new tab"

Hello,
I am using using xf 1.2 and i am trying to add a new tab.
I got the tabs working but the problem is i cant find a way to make them actually active when u pressed it.
Here is a example:

You would need custom development to change the selected tab for a route/page.

Well i did it before, but i cant remember how i did it :c
Is there any way u can give me a way to do it?

You could try Nodes as Tabs by @Jake Bunce. I don't think it's exactly what you're looking for, but it might help.

How are you adding the tab? What page does it link to?

This addon might work for you:

It allows you to put any node in the navbar (with tab-selection). And link-forums can be used to represent any page within XF.
