I did try to search these forums but I could not find the info I was looking for.
When adding a tag to a thread, does it make any difference if the # sign is added as the first character of the tag in terms of discoverability on the web at large? For example, is stormarea51 or #stormarea51 better if you want maximum discoverability of your post about Storm Area 51 - on the web at large? Here is an example of both:
