In the old vBulletin days... It took sometime for anyone to address the changes in MySQL 5.5 (seemingly forever).
I'm placing my request now, that the XenForo Development Team follow and track the development of MySQL 5.6 when time allows.

MySQL 5.6 RC (Release Candidate) has been released and no, I do not expect anyone to support it at this time in its RC (Release Candidate) state. Only that it not be delayed and that upon its gold release, that it be included in future versions of XenForo.
