XF 2.1 Moderate posts/ reload page or not reload page

I just finish my add-on for moderate posts (edit/reply) in a thread.
To keep things easy and fast, i dont use an overlay, i just use a switch to save clicks.

Because i dont reload the page at this time, the "phrase" will not change in the thread options (it will change if you reload the page from set to unset and vice versa).
Is it a good/better style to reload the page in this situation? Or is there a function to reload the phrase only here?

I have compared it with lock/unlock thread.

The menu is closed with data-menu-closer="true", but the page is not reloaded.
So the message "thread is closed" will still stay after unset the lock. Ok.
