Is the mobile view a seperate template.

Does the software check the client and the device to get the right template?

It is a responsive design not a seperate theme for mobiles.

Nope and nope

xenForo is using responsive design which it'll load the same amount of data, css, queries(some addons might behave differently). It will display responsively according to the width of your visitors' browser.

Thanks a lot. So it'll be more work for me, because up to now I had 2 templates in my standard board and two advertisers which are serving mobile and non-mobile ads.

No problem.

Just create a child style and set it as non-responsive.
Takes a few seconds.

That's how my site is set up.
