As designed Mobile keyboard doesn't close when emoji menu is opened

If one opens the emoji or gif menu in the editor while using Chrome on Android, the keyboard stays open, while it closes when other menus are opened (like the menu to add a link, or embed an image). The issue appears to be specific to 2.2, as the keyboard does close when the emoji menu is opened on a site running 2.1.

Insert Media does it, too. Never really thought of it as something to report but it does get in the way sometimes.

This is intentional, as the filter box is now focused by default. (The same applies to inserting from Giphy as well.)
