MG 2.2 Mirror Attachments from a Forum into a Category

If I have an RSS feed, like NASA Photo of the Day, and the image shows up in the post but when I run the Rebuild Cache job to sync the attachments nothing happens. Does the image have to be in the post in a certain way in order to get sucked in ?

Embedded images, like in the posts from the PotD RSS feed, won't get mirrored, only attachments.

is there a different way to scrape them out of there and add them ?
