I still run a phpBB forum with 2 million posts and 60,000 users. I was actually leaning toward vBulletin already, but AI keeps suggesting that XenForo might be the better option.
The migration to vBulletin seems complicated, but manageable. For me, only a self-hosted solution is an option.
Before making a final decision, I would really like to better understand the migration process. Are there any guides, tutorials, or real-world experiences regarding this?
Also, how are redirects usually handled when moving from the old phpBB URL structure to the new one?
