XF 2.1 Migrating the forum

We are migrating our website to a different server and also need to move our forum to the new server. Can I simply copy the forum folder from the current server to the new server? The path to the forum folder will be the same on the new server as it is on the current server (vmug.bc.ca/vmugforum)

You will need to copy the database and the server files to the new server.

Changes may be required to the src/config.php file if the database credentials on the new server are different.

We are engaged in a complex migration of a vBulletin forum to XF2. This is proceeding well in a trial migration. We have now made numerous style changes in the trial migration so it looks and feels as we want. When we do the final migration (to a different domain) can we copy the appropriate trial migration config file to the final migration and thus save hours of work re-creating the styles that we like?
Which file would need to be copied?

from my understanding... style data is stored on ftp along with database. config changes would just be required for database connectivity.
