is there some addon to merge conversations?

When a website migrates from other software to XF, all conversation messages are imported as separate conversations. It would be very useful if users could merge messages to conversations.

I would also like be able to merge conversations for the same reason, since I'm working moving a bigboard from vB 4.2.3 to XF1.5

Seems all conversations with the same subject line (ignoring "Re:" and "Fw:") and participants should be merged. Is there no way to do this?

This is something I am interested in as well. Migrating from vB to XF, a lot of our users still create individual (i.e new) conversations for each communication.

I moved from phpBB3 to XenForo and all the old convos are broken up and I need somethign that can put them back together. It's okay if I have to manually select each with a checkbox, I just want to rebuild those so they're readable.

In the same boat as everyone else, migrating from SMF and would like individual messages merged into conversations by user/subject.
