Media Slider not showing latest media

Media slider is operating nicely, but not showing latest images. It seems to be showing a fixed selection of images rated 4 star.

That behaviour is unlikely to be coming from XFMG as we don’t do any filtering based on star rating.

I’d recommend looking at the widget settings and ensuring there isn’t an unexpected filter on which categories it is pulling from.

You may also want to disable all other add-ons to see if that affects anything.

I've checked the widget settings, they are OK. I've disabled each add-on in succession, no difference.
We did change the order in which MG thumbnails are displayed to be 1. Ordered by title, 2. Ordered by star rating.
The images that are appearing in media slider are all 4 star rated, and appearing in the order of their title. So it looks like the MG thumbnail ordering is also controlling the media slider images as well.

So you have made changes to the code? If you revert those changes does the slider work as you expect?

Yes, my colleague changed the code of the thumbnail sort. On reflection, that media slider problem dates from about them. We will need to check this out in the code. Many thanks
