Is there a maximum number of posts a thread can handle?
Some queries for things like pagination can take a touch or two longer with very long threads but you're probably talking in the thousands of pages, and not by a great deal.
I have one thread that's around 2500 pages right now ---
And still super speedy
Even if there was a point at which it became slower, you could move some of the posts out into a new thread. However, this isn't something you should look to do routinely like you may have had to do previously in vBulletin. I think I've even seen threads with thousands more pages without issue.
Any slow down should be negligible.
which is why I asked Thanks
We tend to keep out post count to about 30k in order to keep Tapatalk playing nice
I don't use tapatalk.
