When I make a quick reply on a page that is not the last page of a thread it scrolls the reply I just made out of view in order to show the last 2 posts of the thread, followed by the reply I made, followed by non-sensical pagination. This is all very confusing.
After a quick reply I would expect it to show me the post I just made. If the software insists on displaying the last 2 posts that's fine, but the reply I just made shouldn't be scrolled out of view to accommodate that. The pagination should also be more intuitive.
For example, this would be a lot more intuitive (assumes 10 posts per page):
