Lost with hosting my site

So i've always used shared hosting.
Been with the same hosting company for near on 8 years.
But needed to drop down my costs so decided to change hosting companies.
Not a great idea as they had not said anything about restrictions with CPU Time Usage and Account Executions, so within the first 24 hours in my cPanel I'd about hit these limits.
My disc space needs to be about 20 GB, usually have around 100 members logging in a day but with only around 30 to 50 posts made per day.

As I'm about to get a 30 day refund I am now re thinking again about hosting.
Stick with shared hosting or I've been told a little about Cloud hosting.

Looking at around $170 to $180 per year to spend.
I do need an ssl with that though as i run with https
Also would prefer to us Cpanel as I am so use to hosting with that.
I've took a look at tmdhosting with their cloud hosting, looks okish but still not sure about restrictions..
Any ideas, suggestions would be great from you all
Thanks

$15 a month budget :o ?

One of the problems you have with shared hosting is you don't get root access so basically are restricted by what's on offer and the level of support you'll receive.
Also, you need to look to the future and what if your website grows and exceeds the boundaries of your package which can be very quickly with shared hosting.

Take a look at managed VPS hosting, effectively sharing a server but with your own server within a server and ask the question regarding having changes made to the core such as software installations/changes/upgrades, etc, as some hosts will do so others wont in case it affects other users.

As regards SSL certification, take a look at https://letsencrypt.org/ - free SSL certificates that work
