How do we go about stopping staff from posting in locked threads including admins?

Simple.... tell your staff if it's locked, it's not to be posted in. If they do, warn them like you would a normal user. If they continue - they no longer are staff.

At best, you'd need to modify the template. But there are indications that a thread is locked, even to staff.

People that can lock/unlock a thread can reply while it's locked (otherwise they could just unlock, reply, and re-lock).

Thanks, this is what we would want to do as most times staff seem to miss that the thread is actualy locked .

#1 Hard to see.

#2 No indications at all when there is a link to a post in a locked thread.
When you click on this link :http://xenforo.com/community/threads/random-questions-answered.114/#post-3596
it takes you to a post.
You cannot see that the thread is closed , you can reply to the post.

(otherwise they could just unlock, reply, and re-lock).

That could be the better way to handle it.
(Even for admins)
