How do we go about stopping staff from posting in locked threads including admins?

    Good question.
I hate to delete posts from locked threads from moderators

Simple.... tell your staff if it's locked, it's not to be posted in. If they do, warn them like you would a normal user. If they continue - they no longer are staff.;)

At best, you'd need to modify the template. But there are indications that a thread is locked, even to staff.

People that can lock/unlock a thread can reply while it's locked (otherwise they could just unlock, reply, and re-lock).

Thanks, this is what we would want to do as most times staff seem to miss that the thread is actualy locked .

    #1 Hard to see.

#2 No indications at all when there is a link to a post in a locked thread.
When you click on this link :http://xenforo.com/community/threads/random-questions-answered.114/#post-3596
it takes you to a post.
You cannot see that the thread is closed , you can reply to the post.
That could be the better way to handle it.
    (Even for admins)
