Litespeed vs Nginx (Yeah, it's one of those topics again)

So, basically, I'm moving over to a VPS soon-ish, and I find myself pondering the ages-old question of Nginx vs the free edition of Litespeed.

'Tis for several small sites, nothing major, but I have no experience running either. So far, I'm in favor of Litespeed for the sole reason of Apache compatibility, but would love to have some opinions on it.
I'm particularly interested in the best possible performance. :p

As LiteSpeed isn't open source and way outside our budget I cannot say much about it.

Their standard free edition isn't an option for us. I don't think it supports 64bit.

But we are very happy with nginx + php-fpm.

Way better than our previous lighttpd + php fastcgi setup.

Look : Free Litespeed = Apache (plain and simple and without the how and why) ...

nginx is very very very very very simple to understand (made by 1 person = 1 logic = easy to understand ) .... Go with nginx without a question ;) (unless you got a big budget )
