Q, does xf2.2 out of the box allow me to restrict private conversations for new users, until they have posted a certain number of times on the open forum.

thanks Paul let me have a read of that
i see it's for message, I want to limit conversations
the spam issue, a small % of scammers are registering and getting through the spam controls then sending volumes of direct messages, not posting on the forum, that is what I need to restrict
