As designed Lightbox gallery doesn't work if images attached as "full"

As said in title, Lightbox gallery doesn't work on images who attached as "Full".
For example, i attached in this post three random pictures from Google by query "dogs". One from him attached as full.

We only allow the images to be loaded in the lightbox if they exceed the viewport width. In other words, if the images are already displayed in full on a larger screen and not otherwise size constrained then loading in the lightbox has no benefit because you’re already seeing the full image.

If you shrink your browser window, or view on mobile, the big dog image will activate in the lightbox.

I talk about the images gallery (displayed usually from below).
If you open the first dog image, you don't see images gallery:


If you open any of another two images, you can see the bottom strip with all images except this big image:


This is designed too, or not?

That’s correct.

Thumbnail images are shown as a gallery. Full size ones aren’t.

Full size ones aren’t.

This is not very convenient when there are more than four images.
Please, can you make large images fall into the gallery too? Should I create suggestion?
