Let’s see some XenForo forums that have a built in homepage with content

I can tell you don't get it. Snippets are still content, nobody said it wasn't. I'm assuming the OP doesn't want the forum index page as his site home page. Because it's not content-rich, it's just titles of categories and threads and maybe a site description worked in there somewhere.

People have done what he asks about, for years using stuff like wordpress or joomla. There's at least a couple of good xf addons for it too.

Nobody wants long articles on their homepage, not even newspapers.

I think you are reading way too much into it.

Besides, most add-ons are flexible, he can adjust it to suit his needs.

Thanks for the links so far. They're all mostly article/blog systems which I suppose is the modern way to deliver content (compared to regular old webpages). I looked at every link posted, and one thing I'm noticing is that they all seem slightly overwhelming for some reason. I'm not sure why. I know how to navigate them - I can read the content, read the comments, and see options to view the thread style posts too. Yet something feels overwhelming with these designs.

Also, are you guys able to tell what CMS platform the following forums are using? Not that these aren't also overwhelming - I'm just curious about them.

Bob's Article system is rather robust and you can really configure it however you want.

This is a little work in progress (haven't worked on it in a while but ya )

I wasn't expecting them to be WordPress. I guess those took a lot more work to blend them into the forum (and share commenting with forum accounts) than an article add-on already made for XF would be. Thanks.

Well... that is exactly what I needed. Now I can start finding sites I like and investigate.
