Fixed Layout problem in notification email in posts with video

Hello,

one of my clients informed me that there might be a problem with email layout in notifications when threads contain a video.

Is this a problem of my mail cleint (mac mail) or can I fix this in acp?

That looks like an issue with the mail client. It doesn't look like it's drawing properly.

That said, I'm not sure if we should be allowing media embeds in emails, though it's not inherently wrong -- they are unlikely to work in most scenarios though. It does potentially depend on how the embed is done.

@Mike - thanks for the reply. The mail was just a notification that someone replied to her thread. Can I modify xf mail templates so that media embeds are disabled in notification emails?

That would require code modifications to adjust the processing for HTML emails specifically.

(I haven't seen any other reports of this FWIW.)

I have now made an adjustment for 1.3.1 to display a placeholder instead of embedded media in emails.
