Lack of interest Latest Posts Widget - behaviour change request

I notice the latest posts widget changes the avatar from the original thread starters avatar to the most recent posters avatar! I find this super frustrating as I'd like to have some options to enable the original thread starters avatar always and simply display latest posters username underneath..

how is this achieved please? any help will be greatly appreciated..

yes, I'd like to know this also.....

I find it so frustrating if one member goes around replying to all the latest posts and then all you see is a sea of the same avatar displaying on latest posts.. i want the original poster avatar to always display with just the latest reply from as text underneath


someone please assist how to edit the latest posts widget behaviour.. thank you..
