Hi all,

I use Tenshin's latest threads in the sidebar, but what I really need is "latest posts"
Can someone sort me out?

A query on the xf_post table ordered by post time in descending order should do it. I'm on my mobile so I cant test it.

this will be funny, because the users will also see also posts which aren't for them (from admin/mod area, moderated posts,...)

Yeah I guess it needs to be an actual add-on with options to exclude certain forums.
Can someone work on this perhaps? For a small donation?

I thought that people would donate much more, but they don't donate "for normal add-ons", so i don't care of donations anymore^^

I make & release the add-ons for fun and to learn the xf framework

Hi,

I think it would be either above the forum list with:
Title - category - poster - date

Or an option for the sidebar with same but condensed

Important to be able to exclude forums,
And I would Love if it also shows the little thumb (tiny) of the poster

To complicate at some point,

Show only 1 post per thread , so that all threads get a chance, otherwise 1 overactive thread might take all positions.

Also, important to select how many threads to display.

posts don't have titles
that's the problem^^

Poster, message & date wouldn't be the problem

I could really do with this addon. The other "last posts" has problems but i'm sure Regtek could pull this off with his eyes closed. I'm currently using your Latest Threads addon which works excellently. Be nice to have a complete working set from the same coder. <Taz makes a wish!>

SO you want the "thread title" to be the biggest thing in the latest posts? Also your last 2 posts doesn't have an content..
