Well... since this thread was originally apparently deleted by XF staff/moderators.. I won't go into it here.. if you want more info, feel free to start a conversation with me.
I will simply say that XenForo moderators and staff simply kissed about $750 way from themselves and their developers.
And note.. I've been using XF for over a decade and been a strong proponent of theirs... so take due warning.

Come on Tracy. If you are going, then going quietly is much more dignified than a big flounce. But I'd say... Don't cut your nose to spite your face mate. You already have the best forum script by a mile, and it sounds like it's going to bet better and better.

No, it's not the "best script"... there are better out there.. the ONLY thing that keeps me with XF is a particular developer add-ons.. it's NOT anything to do with XenForo itself.
BTW... IPS is in the cart and about to be purchased... not crazy about it as it is going to involve a LOT more work with
Pages for me... but I simply can't justify giving monies to XenForo after their treatment.

Considering that I'm someone that has used (and pushed) XF for over a decade, have over 10K posts (should I note that's 10x what you have) here and have been a strong proponent for it.. it should bring into question for those that may be thinking about it for a new site.

Oh, you will still see me... I have my current site on XF... I'm simply not going to expend additional funds to support them on another site (which would have brought in over $750 a year to the XF ecosphere).

Nobody said "I'm going".. I simply commented that XenForo isn't going to get more money from me for additional sites.. you see, I actually have two active domains.. one of which is currently on SMF, but was going be converted to XF.. but now it will either go to IPS (which it was originally on) or simply stay on SMF (leaning towards the former since I have a hankering to play with IPS again).I love these kind of "I am going" announcements - here on XF.com and on my forum as well.
Would XF and a certain parties add-ons done better.. sure.. but I'm sorry... XF has kind of left a crappy taste in my mouth recently, especially with some of their heavy handed moderation.

I am one of the first members here. #28 to be exact. You're member 30,000 something. I don't post fluff or off topic or rant and rave 50 times a day. your high post count is honestly meaningless and doesn't make you any more important than anyone else here. of those 10k posts, how many helped someone? That's the metric I would care about.
We are customers, long or short timers, no difference. That's it.
If you don't want to support the company any more, that's fine. No one cares. See your self out.
You aren't the first to scream mutiny and try to have this big dramatic exodus. You won't be the last.

And thanks... I choose NOT to further support the company currently.... I'll continue onward with the current site that I have invested heavily into on XF.. but will NOT choose to do so with any other currently unless I absolutely have to.. and won't recommend others to do so until there are some major "changes" shown.

Can you give me any examples of where XF currently exceeds IPS? If I'm going to spend upwards of a grand, I'd like to know that the script I'm choosing is moving forward.. not laying fallow for 3 years. Yes, we've had "speech" from XF staff... but remind me.. didn't we also have that over a year ago and we are still waiting, only to basically get the same speech once more but from a different staff member?
Even with the BS... I"m still somewhat leaning towards XF.. and it is NOT because of the developers or the the staff here (which I rarely see help other license holders)... but simply because there are some great 3rd party developers, which they are SO dependent upon.
And sorry... my days of being a "rah-rah, Xenforo" boy are long over with.

I personally don't care about "success" but more my my joy with working with the script. That's one reason I'm not really heartbroken over the thought of going to another.. it's yet one more challenge.
You see... I run my sites for myself.... and if others want to participate then great. I realize that's an oxymoron to many who ultimately want to "monetize" their site to the max.... just goes against my basic principles.
THAT is also why I want to maximize what I spend MY monies on.. it's not being subsidized by others.
