Javascript for displaying relative time

I want to do this:

• ".time" is "display:none" at page load
• the javascript changing the time to relative time ("yesterday at 3pm") also sets "display:yes"

Now I am just looking for enhancing the javascript. Where is it, and is it possible to modify it? Is there a common way to enhance javascript like there is with php files?

So I guess the easiest way is to just add a simple script that displays all .time elements
