XF 1.5 Issue with permissions

I have edited permissions for a specific user by putting 10000 minutes (approximately 1 week) in the "Time limit on editing/deleting own posts (minutes)" field. That does not seem to make any difference. I logged in as that user, and he is still able to delete and edit all posts. Am I missing something?

The highest value always applies for numerical permissions.

If that member is in a user group with a higher value/unlimited, that is why.

You would need to approach it a different way.

Set the 1 week limit in the Registered user group and use a secondary group and promotion to increase the limit.

Then remove that member from the secondary user group.
