XF 1.5 Is there way to update links to old vB posts?

There are a lot of threads that imported from vBulletin 3.8.8, where members have linked other posts in the forums. The link will show something like this, " /forums/showpost.php?p=2386320" Is there a way to convert these old links to how XenForo shows posts, "/forums/link-old-posts.2386320"? Otherwise it is just a dead link within the thread.

Thank you for the information. I am new to XenForo, after spending 13 years running vB forums. So, I'm still getting up to speed with the new software. The redirect should do the trick. Thanks again.

Sorry to bump this topic but I changed all the links (Forum with 26.000 members, 135.000 discussions and 3.000.000 postings) to the XF format using the find / replace tool. Have made several different regular expressions to convert all the old into the new format. Now I know that what's there is the actual link to the topic without the need to redirect.

Did also the same with the pictures in the photo albums and a lot more.

The redirection scripts are primarily for links external to your site, from search engines and links posted on other sites.
