XF 1.5 Is there a way to limit the number of words/characters in a post?

Thanks, but I’m looking to set a minimum message length. I have many users who post just a few words, most of which amount to, “I agree,” and “idiot.”

Doesn't exist as far as I know, which is partly why I ended up making my Post Guard addon.

There isn't an out of the box option for this. In many cases, setting a minimum length doesn't really do much. People will very often write what they want and then just add random padding to get to the minimum length; I've seen it in posts in the past and we have seen it ever since we introduced minimum review lengths for resources.

I found that an addon such as Post Ratings or Content Ratings can help a lot with the +1 posts.

If someone replied with idiot, then that those people are just troublemakers and need discipline or banning anyway
