XF 2.3 Is there a solution to too long usernames?

I'm aware a solution would be just to restrict the length of usernames but I just went with the board default. I have a ton of users who have their name + 1 letter like the picture. It looks fine on mobile but it drives me a little nuts.

An add-on to make usernames scale text size or something? Some other solution?

Add in extra less:

.message-cell.message-cell--user {
flex: 0 0 140px;
}

Replace 140px with the needed amount, for example 160px.

I know, but at least you use it the best upgrades happen... Code in extra.less can become obsolete after an upgrade, or worse break the style. Now with this little code there is little chance of breaking anything but since there is a style property you might as well use it.

Knowing that when XF 3 is released in a few months we can bet that our extra.less files will need a good sweep or renovation!

But since you like to put code in this file, do so! It's fun either way.

Good observation! I didn't know 3 was coming out in just a few months! Oh no! Many things will break or not work for at least a day or three!
