XF 1.4 IP Adress logging

Hey everybody,

just a short question: When does XenForo logg an IP Address of a user? I ask because i thought i loggs it every time a user is visiting the forum but i've seen a user who has been online yesterday but there is only one ip address from 2 days ago.

It really only logs an IP when an actual action is taken. It won't log normal browsing.

So, if a user is logging in, that's not an action where the ip is saved? That would explain it.

If they explicitly log in, it is logged. But if they choose the "stay logged in" option it is not.
