intl support?

hello,
ive noticed 2.3.4 added intl support check in admincp...which mine is sitting at "no" for default...

is this something we want as enabled? then if so, how is that accomplished.....it seems java related so im starting off with my blank face

might be this. i disabled it when i saw this thread. and it appears as no in backend.

The new behaviors depend on the intl extension, so disabling that may have helped.

It's a PHP extension. Enabling it provides more robust handling for removing accents and romanizing strings. This is likely of greater importance for non-English users, but (since that bug was fixed) it shouldn't really hurt to have it enabled anyway. It's in the environment report for diagnostic purposes and not as a recommendation one way or the other.
