No, I've not done anything for xF yet, other than post here.

I was thinking it would be easy due to the fact that the schemas between vB3 and vB4 are very similar, so less to do to copy it and update for vB4.

vBulletin 3 is the only importer as of right now, they released information saying they'll make other importers by the time xF goes gold.

I think a lot of people would love to switch from vBulletin 4 to XenForo 1. Hopefully the devs will code a importer for that very soon. Maybe even without Blogs, Galleries and CMS in the first place.

I dare say they are quite busy.

Given that I've done importers for over 120 systems, I've been toying with the idea of writing up a forum data interchange spec and just open sourcing a few ideas I've just had for a new system to do it.

Then the technical barrier of "who's got all the importers would go away" as you'd just need 1 data out and 1 data in. Then systems can compete on who technically meets the needs of each customer the best.

And now that I'm a free agent "using my specialist technical knowledge to make a living" (I think is the legal term of protection I'm afforded) might not be a bad idea .......
