Intermittently, and just over the past maybe 3-4 days (since Christmas), I am seeing on multiple forums I manage that selecting spam clean from the Approval Queue takes a long time or seems to even hang.
Nothing has changed on these forums and they are on separate dedicated or VPS servers.
I know that there were a couple of days recently where http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip-lookup wasn't responding or was very slow to respond: That seems to be fixed now but I'm wondering if the current issue is also related to external sites.
So my question is what actually happens when you spam clean and what external sites need to be contacted to complete the spam clean?
