Hello,
So, if I was to accidentally install the full installation rather than the upgrade, what would happen? I am just curious.

New installations should always use the full package.
Upgrades to an existing installation should use the upgrade package.

Using the upgrade package for an existing installation has the potential to wipe out avatars and attachments and overwrite customised .htaccess files.
