So the changes will be made and at the end of the day they will be happy, but really, both parties will be happy? I probably can't post here again thanks to the misinformation that was spread here. Theres also people here encouraging DDoS attacks on my site and all sorts of other things, all over a dispute that never existed in the first place. But you don't care about all that right?

As it is, I'd consider it an misunderstanding, and if both parties find an acceptable solution people will probably take nothing from the situation other than that it was worked out.

Slavik was also joking; I highly doubt any administrator here worth mentioning actually condones DDoS attacks.

The dispute exists; you did copy his design, even if it was a misunderstanding. If you read my first posts, as well as many other posts, they say to either contact you to fix the issue, or to not bother with it. The people who were more the offensive are the same ones that have had their work stolen, and they suggested what they did if you did decide to remove the style.

I don't see why you're acting like everyone is out to get you; if you change the style people will likely respect the action you take alone, and eventually forget this ever happened. You've admitted you misunderstood what he meant, all you have to do is rectify the misunderstanding.

6. Contacting your host and having you shut down

It really is a Nice, Friendly Community full of helpful & kind people, It is just a shame that a misunderstanding has gone a bit Troppo (I hope it can get sorted easily for both parties)

3. Wasn't so much a witch hunt as people thinking he outright went against the OP's wishes and copied the style. With the information now it is nothing than miscommunication.

4. The DDoS post was never meant seriously, Slavik just posted it for laughs.

5. DMCA is the action that would have had to be taken after he was contacted; it is a legitimate solution to these types of situations.

6. Also a legitimate action and generally results from DMCA notices. Again, meant only if communication broke down.

7. My signature is helpful, don't like it, disable signatures. The ~15+ people who have liked the posts in my signature this week alone seemed to have found it helpful .

I think this thread has served its purpose.
The two parties have each had their say and I don't see any benefit in leaving it open for others to continue an argument.

I would advise the two parties to attempt to resolve their differences in private.
