Improve "Location" control

Can you please add the ability to either disable/remove/hide the location field or enhance the control to be able to validate a failing mailing address if required? For scenarios where a valid mailing address is required, the field becomes redundant and becomes confusing for an end user. I understand this is used to publicly show where an individual is from, but when I have the mailing address as a few separate custom fields, it could easily be removed and pointed remapped to use the custom fields.

By disable the location field do you mean by turning this setting off?

This is during registration, but it doesn't hide from user profile after registration and there isn't a way to remap what property should be used for this.

Per user group permissions please. The even bigger use case is simply spam mitigation.
